AWC Grief Support

Christine O’Rourke - She/Her

Christine is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and counselling intern who brings both clinical training and profound personal experience to her work. Her approach is shaped by two decades in public health, working with youth and adults in community programs, as well as her own journey of being widowed while nine months pregnant.

Christine integrates mindfulness, breathwork, and body-based practices with person-centred, trauma-informed therapy, supporting clients in reconnecting with themselves during times of grief and transition. She works with children, youth, adults and caregivers, offering a gentle, reflective presence that honours the complexity of grief.

Christine believes deeply in creating space for both the emotional and spiritual dimensions of loss, helping clients move through grief with support, grounding, and compassion. Outside of her work, she enjoys hiking in nature, yoga, travelling, and baking homemade sourdough bread.
