Kate Cook - She/Her

Kate is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work specializing in Gerontology and Palliative Care from the University of Toronto. She brings experience from a range of settings, including home and community care, long-term care, oncology, hospice palliative care, and bereavement support.

Kate is deeply passionate about walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate grief, loss, and life’s most tender transitions. In her work, she strives to create a compassionate and supportive space where clients can reflect, make meaning, and honour the legacies of those they have lost. Alongside her role with AWC Grief Support, Kate works in long-term care supporting residents and their loved ones through the final stages of life.

She is committed to helping people feel less alone in their grief and to fostering greater understanding within communities about how to support those who are mourning. Kate provides virtual support to clients across Ontario.
