Simone Kurup - She/Her

Simone is a registered social worker in Ontario with over a decade of experience in oncology care, supporting children, adolescents, and adults impacted by life-threatening illness. She specializes in grief therapy for adolescents and young adults navigating serious medical diagnoses, caregiving, and loss.

She currently serves as a Social Work Program Specialist in the Department of Psychosocial Oncology at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, where she provides clinical care and contributes to advancing adolescent and young adult cancer services nationally. Simone has also supported families in medical camp settings with Campfire Circle (Canada) and The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp (America).

Simone holds a Master of Social Work from the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto. She practices from a culturally responsive, trauma-informed lens integrating components of CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, Meaning Centered Grief Therapy and EFT. She offers virtual and in-person therapy in Toronto.
